That Time Trump Got Into A Fight With Martha Stewart (VIDEO)

Martha Stewart is one of those people it’s easy to dislike. I’m a decent cook, but I like food that covers the table, smells good, and fills the bellies of my family. I find it hard to admire a woman just because she carves radishes into perfect roses.

So when I read, years ago, that Martha Stewart was a good pal of Donald Trump, I wasn’t surprised. Two ego driven, celebrity crazy, business people. Whatever.

What I didn’t know was that the two megalomaniacs have had an ongoing feud for years now.

Mother Jones is happy to tell us all about it.

Back in the days when Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump was just a reality TV star, he ran a show called “The Apprentice.” In that show, Donald Trump played himself. An arrogant, rude, money hungry tyrant. Each show ended with him telling one contestant “You’re fired.”

Haha. Such fun.

Anyway.

In 2005, Trump worked with Martha Stewart to create a spin-off of the show.It was called “The Apprentice: Martha Stewart.” Not exactly the most original name ever, but both of the mega egos were satisfied.

The show tanked in the ratings. It was cancelled after one season. When asked about why her show had failed, Ms.Martha blamed Trump. You see, one of the hallmarks of egomania is the firm belief that are incapable of doing anything wrong.

Martha Stewart blamed Trump because he kept his own show on the air, which she felt took viewers away from her.

She also claimed that she and her good friend had an agreement. She said she was supposed to fire him in her first episode. He said, “nuh-uh.”

By now we’ve all seen Candidate Trump reacting like a ten year old when someone hurts his tender feelings. He immediately becomes defensive and attacks his opponent, calling them names and insulting every bit of their worth.

He did the same thing to Martha Stewart. Trump called her a”moron.” He blamed her show’s demise on the fact that she was “terrible.” He said her show:

“lacked mood, temperament, and just about everything else a show needs for success.”

All of which begs the question of why he agreed to have her do the show in the first place.

More importantly, this exaggerated, immature, mean spirited response to every perceived slight is a very dangerous pattern for a Commander-in-Chief.

What happens if the North Korean dictator, Kim Jong-un, gets in a bad mood and calls Trump a big Cheeto? Nuclear War?

Donald Trump has got to be stopped.

I bet Martha Stewart will help.
