Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump claims he is really so rich and really so good at business. He promises his cult of followers that he will make them “so rich.”
At the presidential debate last week, Trump said he was “smart” for avoiding paying his taxes.
Some of his tax records from 1995 have been leaked, and it shows that he lost $916 million that year. He could’ve used it to avoid paying taxes for up to 18 years. Trump’s second wife, Marla Maples, may be the culprit, but we’re not sure.
Billionaire Mark Cuban, the owner of the NBA, has called Trump out multiple times for being a rich douchebag. Cuban said:
“After military service, the most patriotic thing you can do as a wealthy person is to pay your taxes.”
“… Because that keeps the roads paid, the military paid and kids going to school, and he obviously doesn’t understand the concept.”

Cuban is a vocal supporter of Hillary Clinton. He has gone after Trump in the past.
Cuban says that he is offered all kinds of tax breaks, but he refuses to take them. He said:
“If Donald is taking tax shortcuts, maybe he bought an insurance policy as opposed to doing something in real estate and he took a huge tax write-off to offset income — we don’t know. And that’s the inherent problem: there’s no transparency and he is so ashamed of what he’s done.”
If you are worth that much money, why would you need so many tax breaks? Trump is just plain greedy.

Cuban blogged about this before:
“So be patriotic. Go out there and get rich. Get so obnoxiously rich that when that tax bill comes, your first thought will be to choke on how big a check you have to write. Your second thought will be ‘what a great problem to have,’ and your third should be a recognition that in paying your taxes you are helping to support millions of Americans that are not as fortunate as you.”
