WATCH: Trump Spokesperson Blames Rape, Sexual Assault On Hip-Hop Music

The more Donald Trump and his surrogates try to explain away his incredibly offensive comments on how he treats and degrades women, the more ridiculous those defenses become. It started with Trump attempting to shift the blame to Bill Clinton–who is not running for President–and has now devolved into shifting responsibility to hip-hop music.

Earlier today on CNN, Trump spokesperson Katrina Pierson (who is a very special kind of stupid) was confronted by host Carol Costello, who told Pierson:

“But these comments, Katrina, are driving women away. The latest polls show that Mr. Trump is in free fall right now. His attacks aren’t working. His apologies aren’t working so, why doesn’t he try something else?”

Pierson pretended to not be the least bit worried, responding:

“Well, look, we have plenty of time left in this race.”

Costello reminded Pierson:

“You have 28 days. People have already started voting.”

Democratic strategist Angela Rye, who was also part of the discussion, mentioned that Trump was actually helping perpetuate rape culture in America, and that’s when Pierson said it’s all the fault of rap music. Yeah, rap music is to blame for Donald Trump bragging about sexual assault. As Pierson explained:

“We’re talking about a society that puts women on a pedestal because of a sex tape. This is something Mr. Trump said who he thought was in private.”

Yeah, because if you boast about grabbing women by the genitals in private, that makes it perfectly acceptable, right? Give me a freaking break!

Finally, Costello set Pierson straight by telling her:

“The way that sexual assault is portrayed in some Hollywood movies is wrong, and it is, and I agree with you there. But that doesn’t make what Mr. Trump said right, right? So, to me when you say these things I don’t know if you really mean them. I don’t know if you mean them or if you’re deflecting to excuse Mr. Trump’s comments, and there’s a difference.”

Pierson refused to admit Trump’s guilt and would not refrain from talking, so Costello shut down the segment by declaring:

“That conversation was going nowhere.”

Conversations with Trump or his Trumpkins never go anywhere.
