The campaign of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is going downhill fast. It started last weekend with the leaked audio from 2005 on an Access Hollywood bus. Trump described the way he had forced himself on women in the past.
Women are coming forward saying that he abused them, including first wife, Ivana. This opened up a long series of tweets. Women came forward and told their stories of sexual assault in an attempt to shame Trump. Trump has said that his comments about women were for “entertainment.”
Now, he has resorted to body shaming his female opponent, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. At a rally in Greensboro, North Carolina, Trump referred to the second presidential debate where he kept pacing across the stage. Clinton walked in front of him several times in that debate. According to Trump, he “wasn’t impressed” with her or her body.
He said:
“She walks in front of me, you know? And when she walked in front of me, believe me, I wasn’t impressed. But she walks in front of me and she takes a question and she walks back. And that was the end of that, no problem. Then she said the next day I invaded her space! Give me a break.”
The crowd cheered Trump’s shameful comment.
This is just plain low. She is the first female presidential candidate. This is a very historic election, and he is resorting to body shaming her? He is just going to make more women hate him. All he is really accomplishing is handing the presidency to Hillary Clinton.
