Last night, Saturday Night Live did an epically accurate satire of the second presidential debate. Before that, they did sketches based on the first presidential debate and the vice-presidential debate. Alec Baldwin did a great impression of Donald Trump in all of these sketches.
Donald Trump took to his native habitat, Twitter, to trash talk Alec Baldwin and the show:
“Watched ‘Saturday Night Live’ hit job on me. Time to retire the boring and unfunny show. Alec Baldwin portrayal stinks. Media rigging election!”
The sketch actually wasn’t flattering for either candidate. Another cast member played the Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton struggling to relate to the audience.
The faux Donald Trump took the brunt of the jokes. Faux Trump was even stalking Hillary Clinton on the stage, just like the real Trump did.
The faux version of the moderator Martha Raddatz asked faux Trump about the sexual assault allegations he is facing, and he said the women coming forward need to “shut the hell up.”
On the latest sketch, Baldwin’s Trump was stalking the stage just like the real Trump did in the second debate.
This is, by far, not the first time the Trumpy baby has whined about the election being “rigged.”
He said it after the first debate. He even said it back in August:
“I’m telling you, Nov 8, we’d better be careful, because the election is going to be rigged. And I hope the Republicans are watching closely or it’s going to be taken away from us.”
This just looks horrible to have a candidate questioning the system.
It’s bad for his image to be whining about some political satire. We have freedom of speech in this country. People are allowed to satirize the government. Trump is just so easy to make fun of. This just makes me wonder if he would start putting more restrictions on freedom of speech and expression. We can’t let this thin-skinned man in the White House, and he definitely doesn’t need access to the nuclear codes.
