Trump Trolls Swamp Amazon With Negative Reviews For Megyn Kelly Book ‘Settle For More’ (VIDEO)

You would think that when Donald Trump won the election, his army of internet trolls would calm down. It appears they are just getting started. Trump’s army of trolls took to Amazon to attack Settle For More, a new book by one of their favorite targets: Fox News’ Megyn Kelly.

Within hours of the book going up for sale, the Amazon page was flooded with hundreds of one-star reviews. Many of the reviews appear to have originated from the pro-Trump Reddit board “The_Donald.” Publisher HarperCollins reported the unusual activity to Amazon, with senior vice president Tina Andreadis stating:

“It has the hallmarks of an orchestrated effort to discredit the book and our author Megyn Kelly…We have brought it to the attention of Amazon.”

Amazon has removed many of the reviews (specifically those written by users who did not have a “purchase confirmation”), but there are still many negative reviews on the Settle for More page. It currently stands at a 2.6 out of 5 star rating.

Here’s a small sampling of the reviews still currently up. User roman k. writes:

“Her vehement dislike for men in power clearly comes through in the book.”

AJ1977 writes:

“You claim to be a journalist who doesn’t want to be a part of the story. Your book tells a different story of desperation and a thirst for the limelight. I also find it awful you would lie about President elect [sic] Trump to promote your book.”

Some of the revelations in Megyn Kelly’s novel (which was held from publication until after the election) are not surprising. Notably:

  • Kelly claims Trump frequently tried to win her favor with gifts and offers, which she did not accept but claims other journalists did.
  • She recounts the sexual harassment from former Fox News chief Roger Ailes, starting with lewd comments and ultimately ending with Ailes trying to kiss Kelly on multiple occasions.
  • She speaks on dealing with bullying and harassment, including death threats, for her handling of Trump.
  • She suggests that Ailes would create hit pieces about her online, accusing her of being selfish and too focused on her own brand.

It should be noted that Roger Ailes played a key role in the Donald Trump presidential campaign.

Kelly has found herself in an awkward spot throughout much of this election cycle. As a journalist, she surely felt the need to report on Trump with integrity and honesty, but working for the Trump-friendly Fox News made that difficult. Megyn Kelly’s contract is up soon, and it seems very likely she will be looking to move to a new network.
