Lewandowski Says New York Times Editor ‘Should Be In Jail’

Former Trump campaign manager, CNN shill, and Scrabble Golden Snitch Corey Lewandowski thinks New York Times executive editor Dean Baquet should be jailed because the Times reported on Trump’s taxes in October:

“We had one of the top people at The New York Times come to Harvard University and say, ‘I’m willing to go to jail to get a copy of Donald Trump’s taxes so I can publish them.’ Dean Baquet came here and offered to go to jail. You’re telling me, he’s willing to commit a felony on a private citizen to post his taxes, and there isn’t enough scrutiny on the Trump campaign and his business dealings and his taxes? It’s egregious. . . He should be in jail.”

This isn’t the first time Lewandowski has spoken out in favor of punishing the Times for publishing Trump’s taxes:

“There is no national security interest to Donald Trump’s taxes… The New York Times should be held accountable, and I hope he sues them into oblivion for doing this. Because the fact remains that if it comes out that these are not accurate, where’s the recourse?”

Of course, anything that Lewandowski says should be taken with a grain of salt. Lewandowski resigned from CNN on November 11, most likely to free himself up for a possible position in Trump’s administration. And when Lewandowski was on CNN, everything that came out of his mouth either praised Trump or defended him from criticism.

Even with all his ass-licking effort, though, it remains to be seen if Lewandowski will end up any kind of executive role. Trump dumped Lewandowski from his campaign in favor of Paul Manafort back in June, a move that was apparently pushed by favorite child Ivanka, her husband Jared Kushner, and the other kid Eric.

Will Trump’s inner circle push Lewandowski away again? Time will tell…
