Colbert’s Fake Interview With Donald Trump Is EXACTLY What We All Need (VIDEO)

President-elect Trump hasn’t held a press conference in months, will only give interviews to Fox News, and is clearly trying to avoid the media. Considering all the questions being asked about his campaign’s ties to Russia, it’s not hard to see why Trump is so media shy these days.

But leave it to Stephen Colbert to get the interview no one else could, even if it’s a fake one.

On the Late Show Monday evening, Colbert used editing to make it appear he was talking to Trump, who told the CBS host:

“We had many people saying one of the great victories of all time.”

Which led Colbert to ask:

“Can you name one of those many people?”

Trump:

“My children.”

Colbert’s follow-up query:

“Anybody who’s not you or your family who believes this was a landslide victory?”

Trump, giving a reply he has used several times to try and deflect questions about Russian hacking on his behalf, said:

“It could be somebody sitting in a bed some place.”

This is comedy gold, and you’re gonna love it:
