We have elected a reality TV star to be our next president. President-elect Donald Trump is responsible for the worn out competition show, The Apprentice.
Welp, they have slapped a new face on the tired show and are trying to bring it back. They have brought in Arnold Schwarzenegger to fill the vacant host position.
Yes, you may be interested to see it, but we urge you not to. You may be wondering what Schwarzenegger will say instead of “You’re fired.” It’s still not worth it.
Trump may not be returning as host, but he is still making money from it. He is retaining his executive producer title so that he will get some five-figures sum per episode.
The show has been approved for eight episodes, so that’s a decent amount for our Tiny Hands-In-Chief. Let’s not put any more conflict of interest money in Trump’s pockets. There is a sort of precedent for this, though. Some presidents have written books in office and gotten royalties.
Schwarzenegger claims that it is a new version and that it’s his show, not Trump’s. He said:
“The show is Arnold. The other one was Trump. I have a different personality, and I do everything kind of lighthearted.”
“… People always like to associate themselves with a winner, and he won, so I think that’s a big plus for the show. I never concern myself over things I have no control over.”
Of course, there is the question of whether the Celebrities who appear will be associated with Trump. Laila Ali, the daughter of the late boxer Muhammad Ali, said:
“It’s definitely something I thought about, and I’m hoping that doesn’t happen because it’s a whole new show. But I could definitely see certain people feeling that way. We shot the show a long time ago (last February) and things weren’t where they are now.”
The network, NBC, announced that Trump wouldn’t be allowed to return to The Apprentice as the host right after he announced his candidacy.
