No, this is not satire, people. Steve Harvey has been given a role in President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming administration. Harvey is a comedian, entertainer, and a game show host on Family Feud.
Reuters reported:
JUST IN: Entertainer Steve Harvey says he will team up with Housing Secretary-designate Ben Carson on inner city initiative
— Reuters U.S. News (@ReutersUS) January 13, 2017
Harvey is going to be helping Dr. Ben Carson on the department of Housing and Urban Development. They are hoping to bring “positive change to inner cities.”
Harvey said:
“He said he wanted to do something. They have a plan for the inner cities but they need some help and so that’s why they called me. So we’ll see what I can do.”
Harvey continued:
“It’s not my jump into politics. I ain’t gonna pass a background check.”
“It’s just me following orders from my friend, President Obama, who said ‘Steve, you gotta,’ as he told everyone, ‘get out from behind your computer, stop tweeting and texting, and get out there and sit down and talk.'”
“So I stepped from behind my microphone and I came and talked to the guy that is going to be the 45th president of the United States. I did what I was supposed to do.”
His exact task hasn’t been clearly defined yet. Harvey plans to be working in Chicago and Detroit. He is actually not a fan of Trump. He said he didn’t like the results, but he is in the camp of people saying that we need to accept Trump as our next president.
