Remember when Donald Trump, then President-elect, went on a Twitter rant against the CIA? Remember when he compared our intelligence agencies to the Nazis?
Intelligence agencies should never have allowed this fake news to "leak" into the public. One last shot at me.Are we living in Nazi Germany?

Remember when it was predicted that a Trump Presidency would cause massive resignations in the intelligence agencies? I do.
There is clearly no love lost between the new President and the people whose job it is to keep him and the country safe. His connections to Russia, his unwillingness to accept that the Russians really did mess with our election, his continued cries of “fake news” in response to intelligence information. All of these have made this President pretty unpopular with the career intelligence agents who serve in the CIA.
In the face of this unpopularity, it’s fairly amusing to see how the new President is framing his visit to the CIA on the first day of his administration.
Trump took himself and his Vice President down to the CIA’s headquarters. They also brought Rep. Mike Pompeo (R-KS), the man who was hoping to be confirmed as the new CIA boss on that day.
CBSNews reports that there were about 40 people brought into the room by Trump and Pence. They say that those 40 were seated in the front rows of the room, where they were seen on the camera views that covered the event.
As President Trump gave one of his ridiculously tangential speeches, the crowd clapped and cheered. Even though the speech veered almost instantly away from praise of the CIA to praise of the President, the crowd appeared to cheer, laugh and applaud at every pause.
That is most likely because the crowd of ringers who were brought in by Trump were the people who were cheering. Obviously, they were brought in for that specific purpose. People who were in the room say that the real staff didn’t cheer.
They were probably trying desperately to figure out what he was talking about.
The White House has claimed that so many CIA employees wanted to attend the meeting that they had to be turned away. Trump joked about building a larger space.
CIA officials disagreed with this, saying that while thousands of people were invited to attend, only about 400 actually showed up.
Trump, of course, bragged on Twitter about how well received he was. He patted himself on the back for the long standing ovation and many cheers.
Had a great meeting at CIA Headquarters yesterday, packed house, paid great respect to Wall, long standing ovations, amazing people. WIN!

I swear, if I didn’t know better, I’d honestly think we were living in North Korea, where the leader brings in people to cheer and clap for him so his ego can go on inflating itself without a challenge.
So far the Trump administration is as filled with lies as we all feared it would be.
Watch this video for yourself. Do you think the CIA folks were really cheering?
