CNN Panel Gives ‘Snowflake-y’ Trump Hell For Refusing To Attend Correspondents’ Dinner (VIDEO)

On Saturday, with increased reports of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian operatives leading the news, our impostor president behaved like a spoiled child and sent out this tweet:

Saturday evening on CNN, a panel discussed Trump’s decision, with host Brianna Keilar noting:

“This is a data point in a larger trend. There is this big divide in that the press is being demonized by President Trump in ways, but he’s being dishonest himself about some things.”

New York Times media critic Bill Carter added:

“Republicans always criticize the media. This has reached a point where it’s over the top, actually. Any story that’s critical of him now becomes ‘fake.’

“And I think the fact that he’s bowing out of this dinner, it has a little bit of the quality of ‘You can’t fire me, I quit.’ because a lot of people are dropping out of this dinner.”

Indeed, the New York Times, Vanity Fair and Bloomberg Media have all canceled events normally held in conjunction with the dinner due to Trump’s repeated attacks on the media and his statement that journalists are “the enemy of the American people.”

Carter then contrasted the way Trump deals with the media to the approach of Barack Obama and leveled Trump with one final jab:

“The whole thing would have been fraught for him. And I know there’s been a lot of criticism of Democrats for being ‘snowflakes,’ but it’s sort of snowflake-y to me, to back out of this.”

Actually, it’s incredibly snowflake-y. Donald Trump loves to pretend he’s a tough businessman who can handle any situation, but the truth is far different: He’s a wimp and has the emotional maturity of a five-year-old. If you say something bad about him or criticize his policies, he gets upset and either attacks you or takes his ball and refuses to play. It’s pathetic, but it’s also the way a narcissist deals with not being as revered by others as he is in his own self-obsessed mind.

No one will miss not having Trump at the dinner. But how much do you want to bet he’ll be parked in front of a TV, watching every second of it to see what’s said about him?
