WATCH: Hypocrite Mitch McConnell Told Us What’s Wrong With Trumpcare… Back In 2010

If you can give Senator Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) credit for anything, it should be for his ability to be a shameless hypocrite in any situation.

This is a man who made a political career standing in opposition to practically everything former President Barack Obama did, only to turn around and whine about Democrats resisting anything that the Republican controlled Senate and White House are trying to do.

For example, here is a statement from McConnell about healthcare in America:

“The reason the American people didn’t accept this health care bill is because they knew it had no bipartisan support. In addition to the fact that it was an awful proposal, you know, cooked up behind closed doors with a whole lot of special deals – everything about it turned the American people off. That’s not the way to operate, and the President ought to take this as a message to recalibrate how he wants to govern and, if he wants to govern in the middle, I think we’d be happy to meet him there.”

For the most part, that quote may sound like McConnell is talking about the American Health Care Act (also known as Trumpcare).

However, this is actually a clip from 2010, with McConnell speaking about the Affordable Care Act (also known as Obamacare). This is despite the fact that the ACA went through almost two hundred hours of floor debate and included over 170 Republican amendments, whereas McConnell cannot even guarantee that Senators will have time to read the AHCA bill before voting on it.

Bradd Jaffy from NBC News recently posted the clip of McConnell’s complaints about the ACA on his Twitter.

Watch the full clip below (after the jump), but do not assume that McConnell is interested in being told about his former views.

It has never seemed to bother him in the past.
