How does someone make claims like this and end up in leadership, and who the hell keeps electing these people?
Last month, Republican Nevada Assemblywoman Michele Fiore did not add her signature to a conservative statement demanding the state refuse Syrian refugees, yet she stated on her weekly radio show Nov. 21 that she would, instead “fly to Paris and shoot ’em in the head’ herself.”
Somehow, she missed the fact that Syrian refugees are not, in fact, largely coming from France. Maybe she should have paid more attention in middle school, which is about the intellectual, hyperbolic, knee-jerk, tough-talk emotional reaction level her statement is able to climb to… if that.
Fiore said during her weekly KWDN radio show out of Las Vegas, later brought further out into the light by The Daily Mail, that she hadn’t signed the Republican statement calling for a ban on Syrian refugees because she was never asked to do so. To back up her ugly, anti-humanitarian position so as not to seem lax on the refugee issue, she claims she told conservative Nevada political consultant Chuck Muth:
“What–are you kidding me? I’m about to fly to Paris and shoot ’em in the head myself! I am not OK with Syrian refugees. I’m not OK with terrorists. I’m OK with putting them down, blacking them out, just put a piece of brass in their ocular cavity and end their miserable life. I’m good with that.”
That, after making headlines across the Internet last week for a tacky Christmas card showing every member of her family holding a gun. This is the same politician who stood with the Oath Keepers and spoke at a Cliven Bundy press conference last year.
When will the American people see these antics for the mere symbolic stunts they are? Tough talk and photo-ops with guns are nothing more than empty charades through which these sell-outs whore themselves in order to gain office and political power. They don’t care about their constituents, their guns, their rights, nor their country. They only care for the power and privilege their office grants them should they lower themselves to such a level that the glob of rubes out there gullible enough to believe in them actually elect them. Pay no attention to the claims they make, especially when filled with violent garbage like Fiore’s. Watch their actions instead.
And folks wonder why our public schools have gone so downhill…
