Trump Debate Fail – WTF Was That Nonsensical Blathering? (VIDEO)

Did you watch the presidential debate last night? Boy, it was every bit the blockbuster, wild west, fireworks filled show that we all expected. And for the most part, it broke down like most of the campaign in general. Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton came prepared with policy ideas, well-educated rebuttals, and coherent arguments.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump came with… Well, not much.

Every time he felt a little thought pop up in his head, it just came out, no filter necessary. He jumped from topic to topic on a whim, referenced things that had nothing to do with the question asked, or just flat-out did not answer the question at all.

Poor moderator and host, Lester Holt, seemed barely present at all, and was often over-shouted by the Donald. The fact-checkers were busy last night keeping up with all of Donald’s lies. You can read a quick and dirty version here.

One of my favorite moments came during the national security portion of the debate.

One issue brought up was how to defeat the Islamic State. Hillary Clinton spoke directly to voters, telling them to visit her website to provide a detailed plan on how she proposes to fight and defeat them. Trump interjected:

“General Douglas MacArthur wouldn’t like that.”

Wait, what? You mean the same General MacArthur who fought in formal wars against actual states like Germany in World War II, and China in the Korean War? Over 60 years ago? Who never faced a conflict like this one and certainly didn’t live in the internet age?

How relevant, Donald.

Trump, on the other hand, is keeping his ISIS plan a secret. That is, of course, if he has a plan at all.

If you are so worried about keeping your plans secret from the enemy, as you assume General MacArthur would tell you to, maybe update your references. If your plan actually does exist, maybe formulate a cyber security plan to keep it safe?

Or perhaps, this is just another to not answer a question that American voters would like the hear the answer to.

General MacArthur, who died in 1964 and never lived in the internet age, was not available for comment.

Donald didn’t get away with all of his ridiculous lies, though. Watch the presidential nominee get fact-checked live:
