Anderson Cooper Drops The Mic On Trump: You Cite Anonymous Sources All The Time (VIDEO)

During his borderline psychopathic speech at CPAC on Friday, Donald Trump once again attacked the media, saying this about the use of anonymous sources by reporters:

“I’m against the people that make up stories and make up sources. They shouldn’t be allowed to use sources unless they use somebody’s name. Let their name be put out there.”

But as CNN’s Anderson Cooper noted on his show Friday evening, Trump’s criticism of anonymous sources is incredible hypocritical:

“Just keeping him honest on the whole anonymous sources thing. We actually looked at the president’s twitter feed and we discovered at least five instances in which he questioned President Obama’s citizenship when then citizen Trump quoted an extremely credible source or a confidential source.”

Panelist Maggie Haberman of the New York Times said she believes Trump cannot handle negative stories or reports that are critical of him.

Trump apologist Jack Kingston, a former GOP member of Congress from Georgia, tried to downplay Trump’s remarks at CPAC, saying Trump’s pointed comments weren’t an attack on the press but merely tossing some red meat talking points to a receptive audience.

But the real issue here is the fact that Trump repeatedly tries to demonize the press which reports on his actions. And now that the noose is tightening on the Trump/Russia connection, he has increased his salvos. Trump and his White House minions are well aware that if the entire sordid tale of their collusion with Russia, Russian intelligence, and Vladimir Putin is ever told, the American people will turn on them like a pack of hungry wolves.

Anonymous sources and aggressive reporting will bring down this administration. They may be lucky to survive beyond 2017.
