How Did Dems Lose? By Throwing Obama Under The Bus

I submit for your approval one?Alison Lundergan Grimes, who lost her bid to be the new Senator of Kentucky when she was defeated by the wildly unpopular, long time serving Republican Mitch McConnell. ?It was easy to see Ms. Grimes loss ahead of time since the race had been defined by McConnell as a die hard proud Republican versus someone who called themselves a Democrat but and yet couldn’t bring herself to say openly that she voted for Barack Hussein Obama.

That’s right, this Democratic candidate for Senate, who was a two time convention delegate who supported Barack Obama in 2012 could not bring herself to say publicly that she voted for Barack. ?Presumably for fear that she would be tarnished with the President’s unpopularity.

Why is the President unpopular with an economy on the rebound, a control on the Ebola crisis in America and unemployment down 4% over the last few years? ?Because Dems like Lundergan kept allowing the Republicans to frame the campaign.

B&W Obama

Dem after Dem couldn’t run away fast enough from President Obama in this mid term campaign and there is why they lost. ?If you want me to vote for you then one thing that’s going to make me think twice about voting for you is the fact that you seem almost ashamed to be connected to the President of the United States.

The strange thing is President Obama has a long list of accomplishments and yet, somehow, these ‘democratic’ candidates allowed the Republicans to frame the race. ?What voters want to see is pride in a candidate and if you can’t show pride in the leader of the country who alsp happens to be the leader of your party, well how do you expect a voter to have pride voting for you.

This is situation the Democrats find themselves in over and over. ?Many many minds smarter than me have opined that if Al Gore did NOT make such an effort to distance himself from Bill Clinton in the 2000 Presidential election, we would be living in a completely different world today.

The great irony here is that people usually throw other people under the bus to save themselves, in this case Democratic candidates threw Obama under the bus and EVERYONE lost. ?When your party has a President in office, you extol his accomplishments, you embrace them and tout them and when you opponent tries to smear you with that then you take that as a badge of honor.

In his most recent episode of his HBO show, “Real Time With Bill Maher”, Mr. Maher related a short list of Obama’s accomplishments and ends it with a question that only the Democratic candidates who lost can answer:

?63 straight months of economic expansion. A depression, averted. A deficit that’s reduced by two-thirds. A healthcare law that’s working and lowering costs. Two women on the Supreme Court. Bin Laden’s dead. Stock market at record heights. An unemployment rate that dropped from 10.2% to 5.9% ? If you’re a Fox News viewer trying to do the math, that’s less ? gas prices are down. Is it really that hard of a record to get behind?!?

One can only wonder what the result would have been if Ms. Grimes explained to Kentucky that their beloved Kynect Health System is, in fact, OBAMACARE and that is a good thing. ?She certainly had the chance and she blew it. ?They all blew it.

How did Democrats lose the 2014 Mid Term Elections? ?By acting like Democrats.
