Former Pres. Donald Trump apparently had another of his famous temper tantrums about his new nemesis, Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) this past weekend. At the same time, he ranted angrily about other Republicans.
In short, according to a Washington Post article, Trump continues to focus on the election he lost and still insists he was the legitimate winner.
In his speech at his Mar-a-Lago club, he continued to focus on personal grudges and looked like a weak, pathetic, and comical figure, according to a writer for The Week.
The writer said that more than anything, it shows just how politically impotent the former president is and described it as a “bilious temper tantrum.” Nice.
Trump Making Fun of Michelle Obama
Perhaps the most disgusting thing Trump did was criticize the looks of the beautiful former First Lady Michelle Obama. However, he did it in a way that is pure Trump vitriol.
He said, “Barack Hussein Obama and the very beautiful Michelle Obama were there for…” and when he said that, the entire audience of nutjobs laughed “uproariously.” Michelle Obama’s physical appearance is a common punchline for many conservatives.
Donald Trump Criticizes Mitch McConnell
Trump was particularly inflammatory when it came to his criticism of Mitch McConnell. He claims that McConnell came to him asking for help because he was lagging behind in the polls when he (McConnell) was running for re-election.
McConnell denies it. The fact is, it’s very unlikely McConnell would have sought Trump’s help, but most importantly, the polls didn’t show him losing at all. This is perhaps the thing that most proves that Trump is lying.
Trump also said that McConnell always has close races because he is “a stiff” and has “zero personality.” Trump claims that McConnell never won an election by 20 points.
Another lie. In 1992, McConnell won by a larger margin than the 20-point margin he had in his 2020 re-election bid.
I hate that I’m in a position where I’m defending Mitch McConnell…
More Lies about Crowd Size
As for his January 6 rally that preceded the Capitol riot, Trump called the crowd size “tremendous,” even though it numbered only in the thousands.
He also implied that he will run for president again, saying he “ran twice” and “won two elections.” He added that now he will “unfortunately” have to win a third election.
Here’s a news video about this story.
His depravity knows no limits.
