Last night, we watched the two presidential nominees face off in the second presidential debate. One of the many topics discussed was foreign policy and Muslims. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump doubled down on his proposal to practice “extreme vetting” of Muslims entering the country.

Trump said that the refugees from Syria and other countries could be a kind of “Trojan horse.” Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton said this in response:
“We are a country founded on religious freedom and liberty. How do we do what [Trump] has advocated without causing great distress within our country? Are we going to have religious tests when people fly into our country?”
When asked about Islamophobia, Trump said that Muslims coming into the country should report things they see. The FBI says Muslims are already doing this. FBI Director James Comey said that:
“… Some of our most productive relationships are with people who see things and tell us things who happen to be Muslim.”
Muslims are taking to Twitter to express their annoyance against Donald Trump. The following tweet has gone viral:
I'm a Muslim, and I would like to report a crazy man threatening a woman on a stage in Missouri. #debate

This has sparked the new viral hashtag, #MuslimsReportStuff, which is now trending. They were also commenting on Trump’s creepy behavior. He kept lurking behind her while she was answering questions.

Many Muslims are also upset because both candidates referred to them as some kind of national security force. Both candidates talked about Muslims needing to watch out for terrorists. There are over 1 billion Muslims on the planet. They don’t all know what everyone is doing. Just as Muslims are not terrorists, they are not spies either. Another tweet said:
Albeit with different words, @HillaryClinton said the same unacceptable thing here as @realDonaldTrump did. #debates #MuslimsReportStuff pic.twitter.com/ykU7VDPAep

.@HillaryClinton I'm with you but please stop saying my value to the country as a Muslim American is national security. #debate

Donald Trump seems to have backed off the Muslim hate he has expressed before. Remember, this is the same man that called for a “shutdown” of Muslims entering the country. He has also said before that Muslims should have to wear special badges.
Here is the clip from the debate about the Islamophobia:
