Did Jill Duggar Commit Fraud In Fake Missionary Trip Scandal?

Joining the now rich Duggar family tradition, Jill Duggar is engrossed in her very own scandal!

The Duggars have been the celebrity figureheads for the Quiverfull movement, a radical offshoot of Christianity, for many years now with their former TLC series, 19 Kids and Counting. The horrible matriarch of the family, Michelle, spent a good part of 2014 lobbying against transgendered rights, while the parents both came under fire earlier this year when it was revealed that they not only knew that their oldest son Josh was molesting some of his younger sisters, but that they also took measures to cover it up. That same son was recently embroiled in another scandal, as his name was on the Ashley Madison hack list that was leaked.

In the seemingly tradition of immorality and scheming, the latest Duggar child to be exposed as a cad is Jill Duggar, who recently married Derick Dillard and gave birth to their first child, a boy named Israel.

The young Dillard couple took to the internet this past summer to beg for money from their fans to fund a proposed mission trip to El Salvador. One little problem with their holy mission…the Hollywood Reporter has recently exposed the couple as a complete fraud!

The Dillards apparently took the donations and indeed traveled to El Salvador, but rather than relocating there for years on a mission trip, they recently turned up again back in their home state of Arkansas. The internet was set ablaze with questions and accusations about what exactly went down and how the money was actually utilized.

Apparently, it’s rather difficult to get the Southern Baptist Church to authorize you to engage in their missionary activities, which is who the Dillards expected to back them. The International Mission Board apparently also handed them a rejection, due to lack of education in the field.

Derick Dillard’s Misleading Instagram Post

Jill Duggar’s husband Derick had made claims last month on his personal Instagram account that indicated they were given the official nod and “commission” to go overseas and spread their message.

Derick Dillard has since clarified that this didn’t really occur in any official sense, but was just an unofficial prayer led by their pastor to wish them well in their journeys. In fact, the SBC and IMB have never given the couple their support, which they would need to actually become missionaries.

This leaves the two in a precarious situation. They have accepted a plethora of fan donations and have made no measure or effort to return any of it to those that they misled.

Jill Duggar and her sister Jessa Duggar are set to have their own reality spin-off show. It is unknown whether this latest scandal will affect the development of that series.
